Some
history on Fayzah's Tango/Bellydance Fusion Dances:
Many
years of studying both Argentine Tango and various styles of Bellydance,
led to the discovery of similarities between the two dance forms, and
the process of combining their movements together.
In 2007, she toured the eastern and western US with Bellyqueen Dance
Theater Company, and performed a Tango/Bellydance Fusion solo piece
in many theaters across America. (Cities included Seattle, Portland,
San Fransisco, Santa Cruz, Tucson, San Diego, Los Angeles, Detroit,
Chicago, Washington DC, and more...) She captures the feeling of both
dance forms and passionately weaves them together without compromise,
accenting music in motion. She has also performed her Tango/Bellydance
Fusion choreographies in 2006, at the New Pheonix Theater in Buffalo,
NY as part of the Kaleidascope Dance Concert, at the Actor's Workshop
Theater in Boston, and in 2007, at The Kraine Theatre in NYC, Galapagos
Art Space, in Brooklyn, NY, and Teatro La Tea in NYC.
